Over the years, my fear of flying had got worse with each flight that I took and an acquaintance who was learning hypnotherapy suggested that I try it. this person lived too far away I never followed it up locally until my friend Susanne qualified in the same field. I was invited to start with relaxation techniques and although it was sometimes a bit odd talking about"what's been good?" etc with a friend Susanne was able to professionally steer me into positively and putting me at ease. Lack of sleep was also an issue for me in everyday life - I would lie awake worrying about almost everything. susanne was very good at explaining and helping me understand how the brain worked (which I found extremely interesting) and how negative thoughts and putting off doing things that I need to do directly impact poor sleep patterns if I hold on to them. I can honestly say that from these sessions alone, I know that I now think about everything going on around me from a different angle. I ask myself if there is anything I can do about a situation to ensure it is not lingering in the back of my mind when my head hits the pillow. As for the flying, it boils down to the same sentiments, once on the plane, is there anything I can do about it? the answer is no, but I have a way of dealing with it - I have learned to just relax and think about what I can control. thank you, Susanne.
