Will I lose control during hypnosis?
No. You’re always in control. Hypnosis is simply a relaxed, focused state — much like daydreaming or being absorbed in a good book. You hear everything I say, and you can move, speak, or open your eyes at any point. I guide; you lead.
Can anyone be hypnotised?
Most people can, as long as they’re willing and curious. Hypnosis is a natural state your mind already knows how to enter — you drift in and out of it every day. My role is to help you do it with intention, so we can make positive changes gently and safely.
What can hypnotherapy help with?
Hypnotherapy can help with anxiety, trauma, emotional triggers, low confidence, sleep issues, habits, and more. In my practice, I often work with people who feel stuck in repeating emotional patterns or who want to understand and heal their triggers.
How many sessions will I need?
It really depends on what brings you. Some people notice shifts after one or two sessions; others prefer to work more deeply over several weeks. During your free phone consultation, we’ll talk about what feels realistic for you.
Is hypnotherapy safe?
Yes. When guided by a qualified hypnotherapist, it’s a safe and supportive process. You’re never made to do or say anything you don’t want to. The work is always gentle and at your pace.
What does a hypnotherapy session feel like?
Most people describe it as deeply relaxing — a feeling of drifting, yet being aware. You might feel warmth, lightness, or a pleasant sense of focus. Some say it’s like having a good rest while doing powerful inner work.
How does hypnotherapy help trauma?
Trauma can leave the body and mind stuck in protective patterns long after the event. Hypnotherapy works by helping you feel safe enough to process what’s been held inside, soothing the emotional charge and allowing new meaning and calm to settle in. It’s gentle, never re-traumatising, and always guided by how ready you feel.
Will hypnotherapy work for me?
If you’re open to it, it often does. You don’t need to believe in it — just be willing to explore. Hypnotherapy isn’t magic, but the results can feel magical when your mind and body begin to work together again.
How much does hypnotherapy cost?
Each 90-minute session is £[your rate], and I offer a free phone consultation so you can ask questions first. You’re never tied into a block of sessions; it’s about what feels right for you.
What’s the difference between hypnosis and hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis is the relaxed, focused state itself. Hypnotherapy is what we do while you’re in that state — using therapeutic techniques to help you heal, reframe and reconnect with your natural confidence and calm.
Can hypnotherapy help IBS?
Yes, it can be very effective. The gut and brain are deeply connected, so when you calm the nervous system and reduce anxiety, digestion often improves too. Many clients notice less bloating, fewer flare-ups, and a greater sense of control.
